During the harsh cold Swaziland winters many people in the rural areas of the country suffer due to their lack of appropriate clothing and protection from the elements. This affects mainly the children and elderly population who simply cannot afford to purchase such necessities to protect themselves against the chilly winds and low temperatures.
In order to aid the situation, DataNet, in collaboration with the Times of Swaziland began a community service project in areas hardest affected. We distributed hundreds of blankets and warm clothes to the people in the Mliba community under the Mkhiweni Inkhundla. Representatives from the company helped with this distribution ensuring that the people of the Mliba community were safer and warmer throughout the winter.
